Trip back to Phoenix

We packed up early and headed off to Julian for apple pie and candied apples! It was a beautiful drive up, Ron lead the way in his truck. Julian, was a beautiful town, very picturesque, there had been snow falling in Sunday and we could still see some snow nestled into the shadows of the trees and roofs. At breakfast we had the water in these cute boot glasses, we now have 1 each ( thank you Ron), then we headed off for a quick explore, before apple pie and ice cream. These apple pies were the best apple pies I have ever had! The menu had donut holes and cream, 'fresh from scratch!'
On the way out, one of the locals outside called out, "you'll come back soon, you hear!"
After saying goodbye to Ron we then headed back to Phoenix, the next post will be just photos as the highway we were on just kept changing, it was so beautiful.
Janice and Kathy dropped us off at Crissi's house where Mike, Taylor and Riley had tea ready and waiting for us, it was a very relaxed meal with a video, we had pretzels and a cheese sauce, French bread, corn chips and a buffalo sauce made from chicken, hot sauce and cheese, ranch dressing and veges, followed by a root beer float- ( another first for me), it was all very yummy.
