Last full day in San Diego

Wow what a day! These lovely hosts Crissi and Janice and Crissi's Mum and Dad are spoiling us. Today we headed off to go whale watching. It was a gorgeous day and the sea was reasonably calm. The habour was the same one where the America's Cup was held. On the way out we saw pelicans diving into the water and a big military hovercraft type boat. We also saw seals and a white heron. It took quite a while with sightings mostly in the distance but it didn't matter because we were just enjoying the fresh air on a beautiful day with good company, then out of the blue we saw a pod of three or four. The photos we got just didn't do them justice. They were magnificent. I'm going to do today's post in several bits so here ends part 1!
