It was probably more of a hill and but it was still a good climb, and it was great to get out and have a walk, there was a huge A on the side, it usually painted gold, but there is some rivalry and other teams try and paint their team colours! You can see the different paints all around the A.
The view from the top was spectacular, you could see all the way to the Superstition Mountains, the ASU- which is huge, they even have a inflatable cover over their football practice grounds, and Tempe Town Lake.
After the climb we headed to Z'tejas, Trish and John DeGraaf (Laura's American mom and dad) came and joined us, it was great to finally meet them, it felt like I have known them for years. The best surprise was when Mitchell walked in, it just made my day. He is still as wonderful as he was 4 years ago.
After lunch we went our separate ways, Crissi, Taylor, Riley and I went for walk around a lake in Gilbert, it was such a lovely day. Then we went home, got tea sorted then We played corn hole- another first. It involves throwing bean bags, you get points if you land on the penguin or in the penguins mouth! It was great fun!
i popped a can of biscuits, it really popped and I got such a fright! Crissi laughed so hard she almost cried. After pot roast and apple pie for tea, it is time to get ready for school tomorrow.

Kathy L - After lunching Janice and I headed back to her place to get ready for a church group that Casey lead. His message was about the Sabbath and the need to take time out from your working life - not to let it overwhelm you. It was a super afternoon and I meet some lovely people. Amongst them was Janice and Casey's daughter Caila, little Jude and baby Norah. I got some practice Grandma cuddles in. Very cool.
