This is the last part for today but before I get to far into, let me share a funny incident from earlier in the day. We were all outside ready to head off for the day. When I say we, I mean everyone except Anne-Marie. We waited patiently thinking she was otherwise occupied. After some time we hopped in the car and started it up. Poor Annie! She had gone into the garage to get her shoes and closed the door behind her, effectively locking herself in the garage. We hadn't heard her because there was a gardener working across the road with a blower. It was very funny when we lifted the garage door and there she was!
Ron and Zita took us out for tea at a beautiful place connected to Zita's work. It was similar to Mac's Brewery. We had a great time and it was just another example of their generosity towards us. Part of one wall is made out of 996 bottles. They have a beer tasting similar to wine tasting - a new experience for us. We must of tried 6 to 8 different beers and to my surprise there were some I liked. I had spotted a pudding I liked the look of so I thought I'd be good and just order a starter. When it arrived I nearly died! Over here a starter is enough for everyone at the table to share. In our case that was 6 people! The food was gorgeous and I did my best BUT!
When we took the group photo we included the manager.
Many of the houses have elaborate Christmas decorations and fly the flag. We have included a photo of Ron and Zita's. Oh and we saw our first Christmas Zebra - no photo but we did see one!
